-JAPANESE TENUGUI

TENUGUI is a thin Japanese hand towel made of cotton. It is typically about 33 by 90 centimeters(approximately 13X36 Inches) in size, plain weaved and is almost always printed with some pattern.

It is superior in quality, made of very soft cloth of 100% cotton and made in Japan. It can be used for anything a towel could be used for as a washcloth, dishcloth, headband, wrapping, as a place mat and a centerpiece, as a head covering in Kendo or decoration. If you can sew, jacket on a book, an apron, cushion cover and bag can be made easily. TENUGUI has unfinished end on each side.

-DESIGN OF KOMON TENUGUI

KOMON pattern is the fabric which dyed the small design the whole. KOMON was used for a kimono by the pattern SAMURAI liked in the Edo Period.
